A leisurely start to the day. Kids had a big beach walk and Pete went squiding with his catch of 3 he was quite happy.
Tone and I kicked back and read books.
We left early afternoon passing through the towns of Minlaton and Point Turton. We thought we could get a site in a local caravan park for a night. Bad news for us after ringing 4 parks all full, it was straight to the National Park.
We had to fill up our water tanks at Warooka.
Smart tip for wary travellers you should always find a tap at an information centre.
In the national park we decided to base ourselves at Stenhouse Bay and then travel around the park by car.
After setting up the caravans we walked to check out the beach and jetty.
We were not disappointed by the view, glorious!
The jetty stretched out into a very deep ocean, a couple of blokes were jumping into the water. The kids were keen to have a go. Buddy and Lach had Tones blessing, Pete however was having some apprehensions about his girls going in as there was no shark netting.
Kayce decided not to have a go, Em did after Dad was down the other end of the jetty.
They swam really fast back to the ladder as soon as they came up for air!
They had heaps of jumps.
Pete, Em and Buddy went back to the jetty after dinner to try their luck at night squiding.
Kayce and I snuggled up and read. Down here is much cooler than the northern parts of the Peninsula .
