An early start with little wind and cool, good for travelling.
Passed through Strathalbyn and Langhorne.
Langhorne being premium wine growing region we decided to add our collection.
The last ferry crossing on the Murray River is at Wellington before the river empties into Lake Alexandrina and then the ocean at Goolwa, proved to be a novelty.
Stopped for fuel and lunch at Meningie. Lake Albert on the edge of town is a fresh water lake that feeds from lake Alexandrina.
This lake is huge and we follow it for about 20km's.
Big salt lakes are also a feature on the scenery.
The land pretty desolate with low scrub.
Followed by grazing land, back to bush some forests and into winery's again.
Kingston is the start of the South East Coast, we were greeted by a huge crayfish/ lobster. No guessing what this area is good for.
Drove through Cape Jaffa a small fishing village and then arrived at Robe.
The park we are staying at sits right on a lake and we are tucked away sheltered from any prevailing winds.
Went out for dinner, again being holiday season (even though it was Tuesday night) could not get a table at Cafe Belgiorno, was not disappointed though took home pizza and pasta takeaway, great food.
