What a fabulous place Robe is. We have had a busy couple of days. Completed the historic town walk, the buildings in the main street dates back to 1850's the craftsmanship a testament to their skill as builders.
Toured around the town, looked at the local lakes, marina ( found the local sea lion) and did a drive down Long Beach.
The wind yesterday still blowing consistently.
Woke this morning to a windless day, bit overcast. I went out for a big walk around Griuchen Bay.
We then went 4WDing with John and Luanda whom we met in the park. Map in hand we started on reverse to do the north part of Little Dip Conservation Park .
The 4wd is not too bad, would recommend taking a 4x4 buddy through the park if not so experienced. The information centre has a map for all national parks of 4x4 tracks for a nominal fee of $1, great asset.
Stopped and fished at some spectacular locations where we thought fish would be a plenty. Clearly not.
I was amazed to see how much rubbish winds up washed upon the shore, really the sea life don't stand a chance
We finished the day with a girls trip to the movies to see I Bought a Zoo and then a BBQ dinner with John and Luanda. Lovely company we have had a really nice day.
Robes definitely worth the visit.
