The wind has turned around mid morning and the day is lovely.
We are doing the tourist drive today. Went to Wattle Valley Wind Farm, we have seen wind farms in our journey last year but the size of this one outstrips them all. 55 turbines very impressive, generates 2% of SA power.
The wind farm only lasts 25 years before they either dismantle or replace with modern technology.
A coastal drive past Coobowie then Port Giles, saw a huge Viterra wheat storage/processing plant. On the big jetty outside a ship loading the cargo of wheat.
A few minutes later a small town if Wool Bay proved to be a fun stop where I caught my 1st squid! Woohoo
An old kiln was on the cliff where they burnt lime to make mortar which was then shipped to Adelaide finishing in 1950.
Kayce enjoyed the pontoon having a sun bake. The water here much warmer than in the National park.
Had lunch on Stansbury and finished the day with 3 dozerm oysters kilpatrick for dinner.
