We are definately doing walkamainia here in Tokyo. There is just so much to see and it is overwhelming. In a city of 35 million, there is always a fast moving crowd and we often get swept up in it. The trains are always packed and the stations are so crowded. But we have had some wonderful walks together in the different neighborhoods. Yesterday we went to Ueno Park and had a wonderful visit to the National Gallery, a fascinating time watching Panda`s and Gorilla`s at the Zoo, and to top it all off a ride on a paddleboat that looks like a swan! Magic! We then made our way to Odaiba near the port of Tokyo Bay where we saw a ferris wheel, a statue of liberty and a golden gate bridge. There is even an eiffel tower or two. They have one of everything here. I was especially excited to visit a Super Onsen last night for a relaxing visit to an Edo Themed Hotspring. They pump hotsring water from 1400 meters below, and you can sit in many different hot pools. Chris and I put on great Ukata Robes and walked around barefoot while enjoying the food, the icecream and the foot soaking bath. It was all such a lovely day until I slipped while posing in my robe for a picture in my Kimono and fell right on to my butt. I have bruised my talebone which is not the end of the world....I`ll live. Today we are sitting in an internet cafe and enjoying the maddness of Japan`s electonic craze. I am enjoying all you can drink soda`s and enjoying reading your messages from home! We are two weeks into our trip and one week to go. Today we will participate in a Matsuri (Festival) and join a million people in traditional garb in a famous temple and part of Tokyo called Asakusa. Stay tuned for more from Tokyo! Love to you all!
