We visited Kobe for dinner and walked through Chinatown on our way from the train station to the harbor. When we arrived at the harbor you realize how similar it is to Vancouver. Tall buildings on the waterfront and mountains. But Kobe has a tower that looks like the space needle, a ferris wheel, a tram that goes up the mountain and a crazy pirate ship. We walked thru a neat market place selling Kobe leather shoes, and beautiful clothing. And them enjoyed the best meal I've had in Japan yet. Brazilian BBQ. Load up your plate with fresh salad and they bring you a variety of BBQ meats on a long skewer, from kobe beef to sirloin and lamb and chicken and flank steak. Yum!! Fresh pineapple served for dessert!
We took the train back to Osaka and enjoyed a thrilling ride on the ferris wheel, towering high above Osaka's city lights. We plugged in our iPod and blasted some great music. To end off our trip in Osaka we enjoyed a soak in the Onsen. Tomorrow we are going to the preserved ancient town of Tsumago. Sayonara!
