Vicky's Travels..
Dear all, hope that you are all still alive and well and not been frozen to death at home!?!?!? (Hee hee!) I hear that there has been snow - yay!
We are all gradually roasting to death out here - the temperature keeps rising and it's getting harder and harder to keep cool. Most of the time it's not too bad but at school it's rather tricky to stay fresh when surrounded by 30 hot little 4 year olds!
The party last Friday for the girls' birthdays went well - the kids loved it and had a great time. It was really stressy for us - at one point we had nearly 100 kids all in the same room - ARGH! After school we had birthday cake and Sangsom on my balcony and the girls opened all their pressies - great fun!
We managed to get a bungalow in Haad Rin with a bath and hot water - and it was absolute luxury! We all had a good old girly pamper session with face masks and everything, before going out for a proper Indian curry. Haad Rin was good although I am beginning to get sick of seeing the same things all the time and having the same conversations, albeit with random people! Think the time has definitely come for us to move on - am feeling really stagnant. Fortunately we only have 3 weeks of teaching left and then we are off to Koh Tao to do our PADI diving course, which I am really looking forward to.
After that I have decided that I am only going as far as Chiang Mai/Chiang Rai with the others. I had thought that I would go with them to do Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos too, but to be honest I am tired of travellers and want a few home comforts to look forward to! Also, there is nothing particular that I want to see around there. I know that if I did go then I would have a great time and see loads of amazing things but it just doesn't feel right. So, as the plan stands at the moment, I will still be coming home on 30 April - in answer to the many questions I've had this week!
Tonight is Full Moon and as I sit here we haven't decided whether to go or not. I had such a rubbish time last time that it really put me off. NOt sure what I'll do yet - it might turn out to be a really good night, just because it can't be as bad as last time! We'll see!
Off to Samui for the weekend with all the rest of the teachers. Not sure what we're doing but there's a rumour that we might be going to one of the ladyboy cabarets! Will let you know all about that if it happens!
Right, off to get some food now, hmmmm what shall it be today? Rice or noodles....hmmm decisions decisions!!
Love to you all
