Today is my last full day island hopping in Fiji! I can't believe how fast it has all gone!
This morning we took a trip to a neighbouring island and visited a school there. It was really nice to compare it to other schools I had visited. All of the children were very well behaved and so cute! It was even more special to visit the school today, as it is Fiji Independence Day today, so the classes took time to perform poems, dances and songs as a way of celebrating this day.
We got back to coral view very burnt! It was a boiling hot morning which was not expected as we were forecast heavy rain.
For the rest of the day I relaxed in a hammock and read. We were also treated to an island massage as a part of our full Monty package which was really nice.
This evening we hiked up the mountain on the island. Te views were incredible, it was such a shame that it was very cloudy so we couldn't see a sunset! It was also very tricky walking down a steep hill in flip flops... I will never learn.
This evening we had a buffet and the locals performed songs; very similar the last night. During one of the songs, a fully grown crab strolled over the stage... Only in Fiji!
I'm now in bed before 9pm exhausted from doing nothing again, and dreading the 5 hour boat journey back to the main island tomorrow!
