Today was our first day on the kiwi experience! It's lots of fun and I have already met some lovely people.

We spent the morning travelling from Aukland to the east, passing through lively countryside which is very similar to England!

We spent our afternoon as hot water beach. The beach is over a part of the world where the earths crust is very thin due to the tectonic plates overlapping here. This means that at low tide, when you dig a hole in the sand, te water is very hot!

We spent the evening watch the boys dig a pool in the sand while the girls watched and chatted! It was a lovely first night to chill and get to know one another.

I'm excited for tomorrow; I get to explore some caves!
