After checking out from our Cork hotel we had breakfast at McDonalds and then drove on to Blarney to visit Blarney Castle. We arrived at 9.30am managing to beat the tour bus crowds. Checked out of our Limerick B&B and drove to Killarney for our trip around the Ring of Kerry. Drove around in an anti-clockwise direction by mistake through the mountains and taking in the ocean scenery. Stopped in Cahirciveen for lunch at a small cafe before continuing on stopping at various scenic locations for some photos and video which included the scenic town of Waterville.Continued on through Sneem, then Kenmare on our way back to Killarney. After an excellent breakfast we departed our Galway B&B at 9am and drove towards Limerick on the N18. Turned off onto the scenic route along the coast towards the Cliffs of Moher. Packed and checked out of our Dublin hotel at 9.30am and drove on the N4 towards Athlone. Stopped in Maynooth at Maynooth Castle. Ruins were in a peaceful area but the tour of the keep did not start until 11am so we took some pictures and video then moved on. Back on the N4 and a stop over in Athlone for lunch. After breakfast we walked to the nearby Dublin City Tour bus stop and after buying a ticket for €10 each we caught the bus to the Dublin Tourist Centre to buy an Irish Heritage Pass and tickets to the Guinness Hopstore tour. Paid €19 each for the heritage pass which got us into a lot of sites around Ireland on our trip and €10.50 each for the Guinness tickets. Caught bus to Trinity College and had a quick look around.
