After breakfast we walked to Metro station at St.Lazare via the bank for some money. Caught Metro to Abesses station near Sacré Coeur then caught the Funicular to the top of the hill to visit Sacré Coeur. Great views of Paris although a lot of haze limited the visibility. Entry was free but no photography was allowed inside.Caught the Metro back down to the Louvre and looked around in the courtyard with its glass pyramids. Back on the Metro to Champs Élysées ...

Up at 8am and breakfast at 8.45am before we collected our bags and checked out. Walked around the corner to Hotel Rochambeau. The receptionist recognised us and told us to leave our bags and the room would be ready for us at 12 noon. Walked down to Gare St.Lazare to validate our Europasses, book our seats on the TGV to Geneva for Friday and to buy Metro passes for the next 3 days. We arrive at Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris at 2.50pm, passed through customs and boarded our minibus to our hotel. The trip took about 45 minutes and was highlighted with a trip around the Arc de Triomphe and the chaotic traffic conditions! Packed our bags and checked out at 8.15am. Drove the 10 minutes to Dublin Airport and returned our car to the car rental company only to realise we forgot to fill it with petrol! Shell had to drive to a nearby petrol station to fill up before we returned the car and got our shuttle bus to the airport terminal. After breakfast we left our Waterford B&B and drove down the road to the Waterford Crystal Factory. Had a look at the crystal products on display which were very nice but also very expensive.
