Up at 7am again, packed and checked out after breakfast at 8.15am. Walked down to train station and boarded our Eurostar Italia train at 9am. We were then on our way to Rome.

Departed Venice on the 8.33am Eurostar Italia train and after a 3.5 hour trip arrived in Florence at 11.22am. We walked the short distance to our hotel, Hotel Galileo. Checked in and then headed back towards the train station for lunch. Continued over to the train station to work out which trains we would catch for the trip to Pisa the next morning. Up at 7.30am then breakfast at 8am. We walked across St.Mark's Square to go to the Tourist Information Centre for a map and Vaporetto timetable. Office was closed for renovations so we were directed to another office in the Venice Pavilion. Walked around to Venice Pavilion and waited for the office to open at 10am. Managed to check out the Vaporetto timetable while we were waiting and choose which one we would catch back to the train station the next day. Dec...

Got up at 5.50am and with no time for breakfast we checked out at 6.15am. Caught the number 1 vaporetto at 6.25am and arrived at the train station at 7am. Waited for our train to be listed on the board then waited at the platform for the train to arrive. Train departed at 8.33am and we were on our way to Florence.

Left Salzburg on our way to Rosenheim in Germany where we changed trains to go to Venice. Trains ran on time and we had a compartment to ourselves for the 8 hour trip. Travelled through Innsbruck and the Brenner Pass into Italy which meant lots of tunnels (one we were inside for 10 minutes !) but we didn't see any snow.
