Breakfast at 8am then walked to metro station stopping along the way to take a picture of the Votivkirche. Caught metro to Rathaus station to see the Town Hall. Took a few photos despite a circus set up right in front of the town hall getting in the way of a good photo. Left Munich at 9.25am and travelled through the rain for 5hrs passing through Salzburg and arriving in Vienna at 2.20pm. Caught a taxi from Vienna Westbahnhof to out hotel, Hotel Harmonie.We checked in, dropped off our bags and then returned to reception to buy a Vienna Card each which gave us free public transport for 72 hours and discounts at some sights around Vienna. Breakfast at 8.30am then a short walk to the post office to post some souvenirs home and send a few postcards.We started our walking tour of Munich by walking through Karlsplatz and Karlstor to Marienplatz in the centre of Munich. Breakfast at 7am before we got our bags organised and walked to Elisestraße to catch our coach for the tour of Linderhof and Neuschwanstein Castles. The coach left at 8.30am. The lady doing the commentary was very entertaining and informative. We travelled into the Bavarian Alps on our way to Linderhof Castle.We arrived at Linderhof at 10am for a 10.15am guided tour of the castle.
