Flight home went quickly and we arrived safely home in Melbourne at 6am. Our trip was over ! We were glad to get home and wash our clothes but after a few weeks we were keen to go away again.

Breakfast at 9.30am, rested then finished packing before checking out at 12 noon. Left our bags in storage at the hotel and caught the metro out to the Trastevere District of Rome. Breakfast at 9am after a small sleep-in then caught the metro to Colosseo station to see the Colosseum.We queued up for a few minutes before paying €8 each for a ticket which also included entry to Palatine Hill. Spent an hour or so wandering around the colosseum which was huge. Took plenty of photos and video before departing. Up at 6am and breakfast at 6.30am. Picked up from hotel by our tour company and taken to their office to pay for our trip to Naples, Pompeii and Sorrento (€96 each!) at 7am.
