Arrived on time into KL from Siem Reap and collected our bags then passed through customs. Walked out to the bus stop to catch the bus around to the KLIA main terminal to then catch the KLIA Ekspres to KL Sentral station.
We waited about 20 minutes or more for the bus to arrive, it advertised that it was free but actually cost RM2.50 each. Lucky we had some ringgit on us to pay for it. The trip around to KLIA took about 20 minutes or so, we then had to walk to the other side of the terminal to the train station. The ticket machines were not operating due to renovations so we were told to get on the train and pay on arrival at KL Sentral.
Trip was fast into the city and we then tried to pay for the train trip. We went to a window who then told us to pay at the Visa paywave gate using the credit card. When we got there we were told it did not work and that we had to go back to the window to pay. Eventually we paid for the trip and walked across the road to our hote, Hilton Kuala Lumpur.
Checked into the hotel with no problem and then caught the train out to KLCC to have some lunch. Wandered around before having some donuts and a coke for a late lunch then headed back to the hotel for a swim and, of course, a few runs on the waterslide.
As we were a bit tired we decided to eat at the train station and then have an early night as we were needing to get up early for our day trip to Penang the next day.
