We arrived in Hawaii on Sunday morning Hawaii time. Left Melbourne on
Sunday afternoon so got to have Sunday 26th twice. S slept most of the way, I didn't
sleep a wink despite some pharmaceutical assistance.
We got through customs and immigration quickly and the transfer we
booked was waiting for us so we got to the hotel before the check in
rush.



Had our usual shenanigans at check in where they say the room type we
booked isn't available and asking us to accept a crappier room. Not
going to happen! What made it worse was we had paid for a room for the
night before so the room would be ready when we
arrived early the following morning. We were then told as we arrived
early we'd have to wait for the right room type to be ready. Ummm, no.
In the end they miraculously found a room ready in our booked room type.
We went to our room, dropped our bags off then
went to breakfast before going back for a 2 hour nap.



After the nap we went for a walk into Waikiki. Weather was hot and sunny
with occasional drizzle which was weird. We had lunch near Waikiki
beach then went back to the hotel to book a "Round Island" tour. Had dinner at PF
Changs which was good then back to the hotel for a
good night's sleep.
