We've had some complaints from the Mongolian embassy regarding the comments about Mongol hoard boards. So we decided to rephrase the answer into some more delicate nonsense stuff. Since a woodchuck is basically the same animal as the groundhog, should we not instead ask: how much ground would a groundhog hog if a groundhog would hog ground? Fancy that!
This is it... Two very sad and depressed spoons are flying home today, and we're absolutely not comfortable about it. We've had some amazing and funny last days with heaps of cool people that we're gonna miss incredibly much.
The spoons joined forces again in Tulum, Mexico after another week or so apart. The diving spoon had some interesting experiences in Belize, while the surfing spoon travelled from Antigua to San Cristobal and Palenque in Mexico.
The Blue Hole in Belize is way more impressive when u see it from above, compared to what u actually see when u jump in. But being circled by massive bull sharks while holding on at the front of the boat, having diarreah in the water. And then include 11 other divers perfectly aware of what u are doing. That just paints a pretty beautiful picture right there.
The dive itself offered only a few bull and mako sharks along with harmless reef sharks. Bull and mako sharks are pretty unpredictable and aggresive so the diving spoon was fairly nervous. Other than that the Blue Hole offers dark waters and some cool stalagmites. The two other dives u do the same day was way better with heaps of sea life. Including manatees!!!
Tulum was great, Playa del Carmen was different, and Chichen Itza wasn't at all impressive. How the hell could that possibly be voted as one of the new seven wonders of the world, when u have way more intriguing and exciting stuff around like Angkor Wat and Tikal.
Anyway, we're coming home. We would like to thank the 1893 people who has been following this epic journey through Latin-America and then some. It's been a pleasure serving you, please come again...
