Well! We are back from our little getaway from the South at Likumbi Lodge. It was a nice small resort with a great staff and delicious food and wine! We had a beautiful bathroom that sported a large tub that had a great view. I spent many an hour soaking and reading in my little tub, thankful of all things warm, beautiful and monkey free. It was shameful actually. We basically hid from the world reading, lounging, eating, lounging, eating, reading and sleeping. That was the daily schedule; although one day we actually went on a private drive for about 2 hours and saw some adorable hyena pups. Then we zipped back lounged, ate and slept immediately because we were so exhausted! The chef Leonardo (Lenard actualy from England) was imaginative and skilled. He gave us his card to call on him whenever we needed culinary help -the only friend we made....and the most important? All of the wines were suprisingly outstanding and we managed to only have 2 hangovers. so we thought we did alright there. There was a gym that was open and looked into the river that believe it or not we used a few times! We're now back in Skakuza for roughly a week then possibly down to Kwazulu-Natal. Until then....trudge on.
