We left Airlie Beach when we returned from our sailing trip. We drove to Townsville where we stayed for 1 night before going to Magnetic Island for the weekend. We hired a trails bike to explore the island on. We rode around looking at the different bays and beaches. We had to go down a very bumpy track to get to Radical Bay and I thought i was going to fall off the back of the bike, you could only go down there on a trail bike all other vehicles were not allowed. When we got to the beach there was only two other people there, it was lovely, shame we couldn't go in the sea, bloody stingers. We went to West Point to watch the sunset , then back to Horseshoe bay for the night. We stayed in a hostel with air conditioning, it was lovely, we left it on all night. A luxary copared to camping. We explored the rest of the island the next day and caught the ferry back to Townsville in the afternoon. We left townsville and went to Mission Beach we only stayed her e for one night and are now in Cairns. We were going to sell our car here but they dont sell for very good prices and we had to pay for new tyres, so we have decided to drive to Darwin. We are staying in Cairns for five days, preparing ourselves for the 2700 km drive.
