Well back in the old haunt of Gijon, well Beth's old haunt. Made it through here from the Picos de Europa (mountains).
Had a dirty sanchez encounter where someone tried to break into the Nad in the middle of the day when were in the supermarket getting supplies. Dodgy b***** tried to force the window down on the front passenger side and busted the window which has meant that we have come into Gijon to do some running repairs on the nad. Thought we would be ok to fix the window later (couldnt open fully) but as we left the campsite at Potes, the entire window fell from its place. We ended up having a united nations disaster relief team in on the action, with a tool set coming from a kiwi couple (cheers Ross and Anna) and a really tops Portugese dude who came over and wired up the window to hold in place till we got a proper part. Was able to converse with the kiwi guys (just!) but Beth and I could not talk to the Portugese dude. Think we understood that he works in a factory that builds ambos in Portugal, which would be a ridiculous stroke of good luck, or it could have actually been "dam this weather, dont suppose you have seen a badger around here?" . Whatever it was, the window is sticky taped back together and hopefully will hold till we get the proper part.
Finding it difficult to find the right part that we need so will have to head off tomorrow to Santiago de Compostela to get the part from the Nad dealership there. Also meeting up with Hoff there for the weekend, so watch out all you sanchezitas, or am i not allowed to say that anymore Hoff?
A night on the sidra tonight or cider as we call it. Will try to keep it under control as we need to leave reasonably earlyish to get to Nad HQ to order the right part.
