So the bad weather definitely didn't ruin our night, rain, hail & shine we still hit up Cuzco town. Our hotel is so close to the main square so there was no point catching taxis so we all hit the town wearing ponchos!!! You can just picture how hot we looked!!!
First we went to Paddys for happy hour & met up with the other group only going until La Paz. It was happy hour which every pub in Cuzco has different times so you could literally go from bar to bar chasing happy hour.
Next stop was Mama Africas which was soooooo much fun. More 2 for 1 drinks & free drink passes. It was good to be surrounded by mostly westerners for a change & that we didn't stand out. We danced for hours & I may have pashed a hot latino guy.....
We were all having so much fun & continued to dance till we literally couldn't stand any longer & when we came out of the club it was daylight!!! It was after 5:30am. We literally couldn't believe it. We were hoping to stay up long enough to watch the sunrise over the main square but we missed it.
Came back to the hotel & slept for a few hours then got up to find something to eat. Laura, Jessie-Mae, Kathryn & I went to the Real McCoy which is an English restaurant with typical english foods. I opted for the big breakfast as I was in dire need for some greasy food to rid the hangover. Other than breakfast (although it was at 2pm) we couldn't really manage much for the rest of the day so we came back to the hotel & caught up with everyone. I love that our group is so sociable, there's almost always someone around to chat to.
Later than night the girls got briefed on the trek as they leave in the morning. All of them came back from the meeting feeling very daunted. Doesn't help that it has rained & hailed every afternoon that we've been here.
Will be weird not having the girls around for the next few days but there is some others that are also doing the train option including the Belgium couple I've been getting to know, Tomorrow I'm heading off to the Sacred Valley with the Belgiums. Really looking forward to it actually,
