We left Cuzco quite early for the drive to Puno which was meant to be 9hrs but our truck Doris broke down along the way. We have a few engineers and mechanic on board plus our driver is a mechanic so they all started pulling the truck apart to see what the issue was. A fair few people went out after getting back from Machu Picchu so we had a pretty easy day, went out to breakfast at Real McCoys which is an English restaurant that does amazing breakfasts. I ordered the pancakes and as you can see in the picture they were absolutely massive!!! So delicious too! On Thursday we caught the train to Aguas Caliente (the closest town to Machu Picchu). The train has windows on the roof for optimum viewing of the scenery we passed through including the Sacred Valley and alongside the Sacred river.
