Hi There everyone,
Well, what can I say?.The two intrepid travellers had us all convinced that thay would not be home until the year was up. They are so sneaky!!!! oN THE 6TH November I was enjoying my time with Carina's family.. Heather and I had previously discussed welcome home parties, picking the two up from the airport, getting everyone together but because we didn't know when our youngsters were coming home could not arrange anything properly. , as I said i was enjoying the bonfire party but it was tinged with great sadness for me. I have had a very rough year whilst David and Carina have been away, mainly because my lovely mum died in May and then my little dog died in August. My step sister and I had decided that as most of our parents' furniture wouldn't sell, a litle of it should be broken up and brought to the bonfire party. Both our parents loved a good 'blaze' and fireworks and my mum particularly loved sparklers. So along with the furniture i had brought fireworks and lots of sparklers. As I saw my mum's furniture go onto the fire I became very upset and was in tears. Then along came Philip to tell me that David and Carina had provided special fireworks for Heather and I and the time had come for us to light them. So as I dried my tears and tried to compose myself, Heather and i walked hand in hand towards the fireworks. We were told where the fuses were on the fireworks and told to move away as soon as we had lit them. This we did and as i moved quickly away from mine, a figure appeared in front of me and a very, very dear voice said to me 'You didn't think you were going to do this without us did you?' Nobody in this whole wide world can imagine how wonderful that was to me. Did I want to let go of my son? No way!!!!! Did I cry? You bet I did! I couldn't get to Carina for what seemed like ages as she was surrounded by family and friends. What a truly fantastic, wonderful, fabulous, tremendous, amazing, mindblowing, uplifting, exciting, surprise. I bet there were not two happier mums anywhere, then Heather and I were just then. As David and Carina said, the end of their adventure was
SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS. XXXXXXX
looking forward to the grand finale, wouldn't expect anything less, your mum's here as i'm writing this telling me not to put MAKE IT BAD GO FOR IT (i'm now band from this site by ya mam david!!!)

Hi, Daringdo and Tinkerbell. I have just read your 'Just a thought'. Oh, my lord. what on earth are you two up to now I wonder. That has filled me with fear and trepidation!!!! Just remember I would like you both back safely, with all limbs and bits and pieces intact. I don't need to get to grips with the power tools David. I picked up a bag with mum's picture frames in it and a nail which I am sure wasn't stuck out before was stuck out then and it ripped into my finger and I've cut my thumb with a laser knife whilst preparing dinner. This is Martin's fault, I'm sure, as he is supposed to be coming here today. You do realize that after me making you a promise not to cllimb ladders, you will be busy decorating when you get home so you won't be sitting around doing nothing. And of course. Heather will be doing her bit to make sure that Carina has things to do!!! Looking forward (I think) to reading about the grand slam finale. Lotsaluv and hugs,xx

Hello to you both from a cool & very wet Headingley.
Have just caught up with all your news & photos. That Tiger Kingdom is amazing & I'd REALLY LOVE TO CUDDLE A TIGER. Pity you can't bring one back for me. My Benjamin Clarence (toy tigger) just can't be the same as the real thing!!
I was thinking that you must both be losing a lot of weight with food being as it is, and looking forward to Mums roast beef & yorkshire puddings. Won't be long now. Then I was thinking - you don't see many overweight people in that corner of the world so, unless everyone is starving, it must be a fairly healthy diet. Anyway you'll need some good English stodge to bulk you up for winter!!
I hope you're not counting the days until the reality check so have a fantastic time. We're off to Fuertaventura (Canaries) for Philips birthday. You know what a tan he gets so make sure you return with a better one!!
Take care & make every day count
With love & Hugs & XXXXXXXXXXX
You should get yourself over here with PO for one of your many hols so you can hug and play with the tigers yourself!! um well i'm not really losing any weight but thats Davids department, he has lost plenty. but like you said we will be bulking up for winter no doubt, we have so many cravings you would not believe.
we are working on our tans to beat PO, dont know how its going though, we dont feel tanned at all but we are hoping we have just got used to it and we are actually browner than we think. its only a month until we will be back now so not counting down the days just yet, dont think it will be long though!! time is flying.
lots of love and hugs xxx

Oh, yes, cheeky sod. I was perfectly safe with the power driver. Just remember who built the little toy shed behind the garage. Mr. Dodd was quite startled when it was me who popped up from behind there with drill in hand. And it was me who put up the pelmet rail and tie backs in the sitting room. {Don't think I'd want to try it now though!!}xx
Hi, thought id reply on this as we spoke about most other stuff on skype. Def recovered from diving now, its odd how tired you get from that.
As for you and power driver, well the other stuff was a long time ago and perry sindrome has had years to get stuck in so I am of the same opinion!!! YOU ARE DANGEROUS WITH TOOLS!!!!
That file you are passing roumd does sound like a big one and having had a quick review of our pics that will be a nightmare scenario to decide what we print and what we dont!!
Glad you still enjoying blogs and pics, your right it does take a lot of doing to do them so it makes sense but its worth it for everyone else.
Anyhow getting hungry so must go, new blog and pics ready soon so keep checking. Lotsa love x x

Hi Daringdo and Tinkerbell. Hope you are both feeling rested and recovered from your scuba diving. It was nict to see you and talk to you yesterday love but was quite strange to be talking to you when you appeared to be hanging from the ceiling on your side!!! I am getting used to the frozen picture now. When George had got his car fixed he came to mum's with me and demolished the furniture that is to go to Carina's in November. I feel as though I am slowly cutting the ties to mum. I have been printing out your blogs and have now printed 132 pages and have got the first six months as far as the Canada blog. I can start to pass this file round now, whilst I get the second one done. That's about three lots of ink, one new printer, one new pack of paper, umpteen packs of punched file pockets, and four ring binders. Oh, and a lot of burning the midnight oil. I so enjoy reading the blogs though, you bring your adventures to life for the rest of us. Hope everybody realises how hard you both work to do this. Hopefully I'll be able to catch up on the photos and bring my map up to date. Still haven't finished painting the sitting room or decorated my bedroom. I thought it would all be done by the time you got home. Some Hope!!!!. Got a busy few days ahead, visiting friends, friends coming here for lunch, dancing and then decorating bedrooms at mums. Still haven't got time to get bored. As I said before, it's like living in a Charlie Chaplin or Lampoons film! Signing off now, it's only ten o'clock but I have been at this computer for hours. Take care. Love you both, miss you both. Lotsaluv.xx
