Well its now Boxing Day evening and christmas is just about over!! Weve had an amazing couple of days, the picnic in the park we had before christmas was a successful day, brilliant sunshine, we managed to get our tan started finally. Its only taken about a month! After that we went for a wonder in the centre again and found a revolving 360 restaurant in the sky tower which we will be going to at some point before the new year. We went out on xmas eve and had a bit to drink, not too much!! We went to a bar round the corner called Scubar which did pitcher jugs so we opted for that as the cheapest option. Back to the hostel side bar for the last couple of hours.

Xmas day well what can we say it was like no other. We started the day opening our cards from everyone and then went down to the bar below us for a glass of champagne and some fruit cake, which of course was free!! even with everyone wearing xmas hats it still didnt feel like xmas day. Off to the bus stop we went to catch the bus to Bondi Beach, once there we managed to smuggle our small amount of alcohol on to the beach even with a bag search and found a quiet spot for our picnic style xmas day dinner and drinks. The lifeguards were busy all day trying to keep people away from the bad under currents but we managed to have a few safe dips in the sea, which was of course freezing. (Only to Carina!) We left about teatime just as it was getting a bit messy, we had managed to keep away from the main party for most of the day but as they were allowed to drink in the pavillion it was starting to get manic as they were slowly drifting out. Once back at the hostel we watched the Lampoons xmas movie then spent the next couple of hours contacting family and friends. We went for a quick walk after that to finish the day off then, that was our christmas day over and off to bed we went!! All in all a fabulous xmas day on the beach, definately one to remember even if it didnt feel like xmas! Hope you all have a good boxing day, update soon xxx
