One of my goals this week was to find tailors. I have released two dress sizes since I have been here. Part of it is from eating more fresh fruits and veggie, part of it is from walking around a lot and part of it is from the high altitude. I read that when living in a very high altitude you naturally burn more calories and fat! Yeh, maybe I should start a weight release clinic.
I tried 3 different tailors ranging from $10, $8 and $6. They were all good, but I think I will back to the $6.00 per slack one.
While I was finding the different tailors, I came across a neat Flea Market in one of the town squares. Around every corner is something new and different. This one had all local craftsmen with a wide variety of wares. Blankets (it is their Winter right now, because we are south of the equator.) Winter is just a little cooler than their summers. It only varies about 10 degrees, so too me it is great. (45 degrees at night and up to 65 during the day) In one of the pictures, a young boy happened to walk in front of my camera, but that is okay, you can see some of the locals. Some of the other crafts were, baskets, lots of baskets, hats, iron fixtures, food, furniture, clay pots and more.
Also walking around you see hundreds of restaurants. Little ones with about 4 tables and very large ones with very fancy interiors. Something for everyones taste. The picture of one I took looks like something from a European street, very quaint. I love the balconys with flowers.

Mike Karch Can Foreiners operate booths in the Cuenca Flea Market? What hours do they usually open? If you happen to notice.
