We have a long (un-hung-over-thankfully) drive from Raleigh to Washington DC with a few stops along the way for lunch and toilet breaks. We arrive at our hotel at Cheverly about 10 mins outside of Washington DC central. For dinner we head to the interesting Northern Italian "Fratellis" that's in the parking lot of our HoJo (Howard Johnson) hotel. We have a weird meal of aniseedy meat balls and spaghetti. We then board the bus to pick up our guide to go on our Night tour of DC. We go around on the bus getting off at the Major landmarks - The White House, Abes seat, Lincoln memorial etc, etc. A good tour but we're pretty bushed so we get back at midnight and head straight to bed. 2 free days await in Washington DC!
