We're up nice and early and catch the contiki bus to the red Smithsonian castle in DC. We stop for an hour or so at the grave site where we see JFKs resting place and also the changing of the guard at the tomb if the unknown soldiers. As soon as we get off the bus we head to the Natural history museum. It's closed. So we give up on the Museums and decide to go and see the Bill of rights and the Constitution, and thats enough culture for us! We head for something...

We have a long (un-hung-over-thankfully) drive from Raleigh to Washington DC with a few stops along the way for lunch and toilet breaks. We arrive at our hotel at Cheverly about 10 mins outside of Washington DC central.
