Up at 7am to phone Post Office about Becks non-working credit card. skype wouldn't work in hotel so after much frustrated sighing we decided to go to Loris diner - this really cool classic Americana 1950's diner. It's hella sweet. We went to Loris for toast and coffee, got the credit card sorted and chatted to everyone on skype and then headed back to the hotel. We packed and paid and then headed sown to Hertz. We got checked in at hertz then headed to the garage to pick up the Ford Mustang! Its an awesome car, beautiful to look at and nice to drive. They gave us a weird nightmare sat nav that we didn't use much. So we got on the 101 (which is nice but a longer drive) then we tried to get to highway 1 (which is nicer but longer again) We ended up in Hayward. Which is the wrong direction. But we did get to see an amazing bridge which looks like your driving into the sky, but then flattens out so you're driving at level with the water. In the end we gave up on scenic routes and went on the i5. And we did end up using the sat nav! 6.5 hrs and a Carl Jrs later and we Got to LA. We had dinner next door at Swingers diner and that was us!
