Sunday - We drove to Papmoa Beach near Mt. Manganui. We stopped at a surf beach and had lunch. I was very cautious about going in the waves because of my knee. But I got in and jumped in the waves as usual. We drove through Tirau to get some icecream. Yum!

February Notes:I have been going to snorkelling lessons from Feb 15th. I am hoping to go to Lee for some snorkelling. 

Thursday - I fell off my scooter by running into a tree and took a chunk out of my knee. Watch out for NZ trees, they can hurt. (Not true!. Found out later that the front wheel of the scooter fell into a pot hole.)

Monday - We went kayaking on the Hamilton Lake. 

Saturday - Mum left to go to the South Island. So dad and I went to the Otoroghanga fair. There were rides (I didn't go on any) but what I liked most was the sheep shearing. In the final round to see who was winner, the shearers had to shear 20 sheep! The wool was flying. All together, everyone in the last round sheared 100 sheep. That's a lot of sheep for 5 people. The time was 16, 39, 94. Wow. A hundred sheep in that time. Amazing.
