This morning we had our first buffet breakfast at the hotel. There was a hot buffet, a cereal buffet fruit & yoghurt buffet, and a cold buffet which included salmon, cheese platters and lots of other yummy things. It has to be the best buffet breakfast we have ever had.

It was so hot today that we didn't leave our hotel room again until after lunch - walking out on the balcony of our room the heat is just like standing with the oven door open! By mid-afternoon we decided we better go and explore so headed down to the resort. There were lots of European holiday makers - you can always tell them by how burnt they are :). The resort has one of those bars that you can swim up to as well as slides for the kids (big and small).

We went down to the bottom bar which is only a few meters from the sand. The sea is so clear and the sand so white. It is just beautiful. We had some drinks and nibblies by the bar before heading back up to the hotel to catch the courtesy bus to the Emirates Mall.

The Emirates Mall is huge! It is the one that has the ski field inside it. There are so many brand name stores here. You can't come here and not spend money!

When we got back to our hotel room that night we found the surprise that the hotel had left us: a bottle of wine and a cheese platter. Just what we needed after a night shopping :)
