Today we woke up in Rome. We didn't have much time to look around though as straight after breakfast we had to head to the train station to catch the train from Rome to Napoli (Naples).
We got 1st class tickets on the express train and were in Naples before we knew it. We were told by lots of people to keep your eyes open in Napoli as there are quite a few dodgy people and when we arrived at the station we knew exactly what we had been told were true. There were lots of people just looking at you trying to size you up. We knew what train we had to look for and found it straight away. It was about an hours train ride from Naples to St Agnello (just outside of Sorrento). Getting on the train was a bit push and shove but the trip was only just over an hour. There was a dodgy guy on the train which we suspect was on drugs which was a little scary at the end of the trip but we didn't bother him so he didn't bother us.
We got off the train and couldn't figure out where we were. We had a map but it didn't have all the streets named on it and we were flying a little blind. We met up with 3 Aussies who were also a little lost and eventually found our way in the right direction. Took us about 20 mins to find our hotel and then we found out if we had turned left instead of right it would only have taken us half the time! Oh well, at least we know what is in the other direction now!
When we got here we noticed that everything was very quiet but didn't know the reason why until we got to our room. This whole area has "quiet time" between 2 pm and 4 pm. That is, most of the shops close and majority of people have a sleep for 2 hours before going back to work. Most of the shops here seem to be open until about 8 pm after nap time. Could get used to that :).
