Today we took the Eurostar from London's new terminal at King's Cross St Pancreas to Paris with Christine and Jodie. The trip only took a couple of hours but by the time we got to Gare Du Nord station in Paris it was pitch black and one of the first things we see is a Frenchman with a machine gun! Deciding that the taxi line was way too long (the Metro was on strike and there is a shortage of cabs as it is) we decided to get a bite to eat before heading to our hotel.

We went across the road from the station to a steak grill (not very French I know) and got a feed before deciding to walk to our hotel. It was quite a long walk (took us over an hour) but we were so busy looking around and gawking that we weren't exactly setting a good pace. During the walk we happened to look up and saw this couple in the window. At first we thought they were kissing and then we realised that they were actually wrestling! And the guy was naked! Next thing they run to the next window and the naked man puts his leg over the balcony like he is going to jump and the woman is screaming. He didn't jump though as the woman managed to grab him and pull him back over the rail and then all went quiet - quite a show for our first night!
