Donna's new sim finally arrived 1.30pm on Monday 4th September and by 1.45pm we were on the road. Couldn't squeeze a full day in so we didn't know exactly where we were going to stop. We never intended to rest up here at Rissbach (near Traben-Trarbach) but we broke a 5th spoke yesterday morning. We found a bike shop that had just shut for lunch so we loitered for almost 2 hours waiting for it to open. Sorry Peter and Jim, but it was the Moselle we were headed for not the Saar. Ten years ago I brought Donna here on her first ever cycle tour (unladen bike, I carried everything and stopping in hotels not camping). Donna loved it and now we're back travelling much heavier and for much longer.
