We caused a stir at breakfast at Boskovice, word had gone round that we had cycled from England and the Manageress wanted a photo of us with Titty outside the hotel for their website! Scenic undulating roads to Olomouc then we got to our digs and the world ended according to Donna. I had booked somewhere without a TV and a sofa and we were booked for 2 inghts (day off) - aaaargh!!! It was a ground floor apartment but we had to carry Titty up stairs to get to it! The good news was it had a terrace and Titty got a badly needed wash and some TLC (chain and brakes). Donna was hoping to get her hair trimmed but Olomouc has the same universal problem - women everywhere want their hair done and every hair salon is booked out, and unless you want a wash, shampoo, cut, style, set, perm, ....... they aren't interested. Our lucky penny helped and we found a walk in unisex salon where you could just get a trim so we both took advantage. Very strange getting a haircut when the person doing the cutting speaks no English at all (message to Lynsey - Donna misses you). A day being tourists in Olomouc - churches, fountains, shopping for essentials that need replenishing and a cheeky beer. Not much here though but the legs needed a rest. Another hilly day today, started on a very foggy dual carriageway but not much traffic, once we started climbing the fog disappeared the sun came out and the scenery improved, every good photo opportunity was either on a fast descent or a very bumpy road so we didn't capture the best of it, Donna did manage to get several photos of the ground whilst trying to hold on and photograph! We figured out why there was so little traffic leaving Olomouc, it's a national holiday, Saint Wencelas day, so we sang Xmas Carols whilst pedalling. We have a kitchen again tonight but all the supermarkets were closed, so we ate in the hotel! New country tomorrow after a long, long climb (Slovakia).
