You can fly to Prague from the Uk in just a few hours (unless you're flying with Ryanair) but it took us 39 days with 31 days of pedalling 1382 miles with 64,000 feet of climbing! Prague is over run with tourists and certainly not as cheap as it used to be. We have had one day off here and had our fill of Baroque and Gothic buildings (show us some green hills please). Besides goulash soup and big sausages everyone seems to be eating Trdlo - a sort of doughnut mix in the shape of a tube filled with chocolate sauce, cream or other goodies. We skipped the goulash soup but we did try a Trdlo and glad we did - yum. We had a nightmare shop at the supermarket when we arrived trying to buy dinner for Donna to cook for 2 nights. We are soon going to have our first curry on tour we hope - the curry sauce is in a packet and the instructions are in Czech!
