Mui Ne is a gorgeous little beach town that is like a ghost town at the moment as its off season. It was a great retreat from the Ibiza feel of Hoi An and the Benidorm feel of Nha Trang.
I took a tour into he fishing villages, I've never seen so many boats and of a night they look so impressive, the sea is scattered with so many lights. But the smell.... I could never be a fisher man or a fish sauce producer!!
The tour then took us to the white and then the red sand dunes. It's pretty impressive how your driving along a road and on one side there's shops and houses and on the other there's this vast land of hilly sand!!
They rent pierces of plastic that are supposed to be sledges, but the 'adrenaline rush' described by lonely planet needs re-evaluating :) I think the boys had more fun battling each other to get back up the hill.
Did I mention Mui Ne is beautiful!! The hostel was right on the beach, and walking out the back there was a beautiful veranda with sun beds over looking the sea and watching the wind and kite surfers :) a little paradise.
