Up early so we could hit the road and bash out the 450 kilometres to Cape Town.
Beautiful scenice drive through desert-like countryside, wineries, huge mountains and hills. Literally a lot to see. I again wanted to drive so ended up coasting about 50kilometres of the way to save us some fuel. I know, I'm a tight b*****....
Travelled down route 62 and 60 passing through winery towns called Robertson and Worcester! Much prettier and cleaner than our one at home! I'd still probably rather live in the England one though as this was far out in the hills and valleys.
We stopped off for a cheeky KFC after realising we couldn't buy any wines as a gift for Marylou's Mum as it was a Sunday.
At Cape Town airport, Christo and Simon picked us up after re-filling the car, was such a treat having to drive a car for the first time in 3-4 months!
We got dropped at Marylou's Mum's where we met Maureen, Darren, Danie, Onke and Marylou before she and Simon headed back to the UK.
After saying goodbye and thank you to Simon and ML, we spent the evening getting to know Thea and having some lovely food (grenadilla, tomato, lettuce, cheese salad with burewurs, pots and green beans!), and me watching the incredible world-cup tie with India.
Tried sorting out her laptop that was playing up and as we spent a fair bit of time there, played on the huge pool table.
