Chilled most the day and visited the Indian High Commission (as we needed to get a visa) but it was closed. Jack had a trim and I went and had my camera repaired for a whopping 60 quid!
Watched most of England's humiliating defeat to Ireland, weird to think I interviewed most of that Irish team and coaching staff about a year to the day. We said farewell to Mikey and Danie and Onke fetched us and we picked up Jesse. Good to see him again after a couple of years, and in the evening he took us out with his girlfriend and all the other lads and their birds that we met last time we were there.
Ruan (1 and 2!), Marc, Craig and Jesse all came out and we had a decent meal and cocktails at Bloubergstrand before heading to China Whites for a few scoops.
Jesse and Marc drove like Formula One but we made it home!

A day of eating Thea's delicious delicacies, shopping and doing odd jobs around the house to help her out before enjoying more world cup cricket!
Tea was awesome (babootie - mince, sultanas and other bits accompanied by tomato and onion in salt and vinegar and cheese and sweetcorn gemsquashes) and then Jack demolished me at pool. I literally missed the easiest shot of my life. 8 games ahead I was, now just 1!

More jobs around the house before Danie took us to get Indian visas sorted only to find that the option is only available in Cape Town (until June but that was obviously no good) which meant we had to send all our stuff with DHL express to Johannesburg!
And if that wasn't bad enough we had to spend another 35 quid each to change our flights and delay our India trip by 2 weeks and shorten it by 2!
Jesse, Ruan and Marc took us out with their respective gf's (except Jesse and I think he enjoyed himself without the wife for once!) and we polished off plenty of cider, brandy and rum. We visited some bars and clubs where we had been out previously in 2009 in the Claremont area of Cape Town. Good old Maureen and Christo came all the way out to pick us up at 4am!

Maureen woke us up by tipping water on our faces to which I thought was Jack and swore at him, oops!
It was a bad hangover day but following some nice rolls and sorting some more visa stuff out, we went to watch the Cape Town Stormers play the Cheetahs from Bloemfontein in the Super 15.
No tries but an action-packed game where we saw Bryan Habana (2007 star) but he was pretty crap! Some guys missed soe absolute sitters but the Stormers won 21-15 so all were happy. Fairly similar size stadium to Spurs' ground (Newlands).
Had a delicious braai and drinks with all the family at Danie and Onke's but Danie was forcing us to try some naughty, filthy strong drinks! Played some darts and then headed home.

More odd jobs before watching us beat SA at cricket with the boys. Marc was not happy and it was intense! Another super braai in Ruan's backyard where it was nice and hot. He was more bothered and happier about Liverpool beating United!
Later watched Spurs draw with Wolves, had more super Thea food and watched Hotel Rwanda before Bett.

Proper work today digging up and re-planting around Thea's beloved garden. Nice to put a smile on her face seeing as she had been injured following a fall, and unable to attend to the garden!
Been doing plenty of swimming in her big, bright blue pool and as ever she did us some great food. Today included tuna and veg sarnies and for tea, mango and chicken curry with spring onion and yoghurt, rice, and a variety of veg.
My shaver has now broke, so now it's back to razors for the first time in years....
