Chintsa looked awesome and Buccaneers backpackers was sweet. On the decking you were overlooking the small town east and west, the lagoon, ocean and the glorious bright blue skies and sandy beaches!
Jack and Mike canoed across the lagoon (I chickened it as I didn't want to risk getting my camera wat) so we could go and buy some fillings to make sarnies. Ham and chutney was the verdict to save the rand, and after a quick dip in the pool, I joined the Kiwi girls to Hogsback mountains as the guys didn't want to go.
We stopped off in King William's Town for money and food and visited the Xhosa museum (Xhosa being the main black tribe in the Eastern Cape). It was reasonably informative on the tribe's history, the coloialisation of the local areas, artifacts and objects sustained for over hundreds of years.
On the way to Hogsback I tried to rip down a newspaper headline with 'Disrespect our beer and die' but it was stuck awkwardly. They have tonnes of headlines plastered around every town/city and they're always eye-catching!
Hogsback provided some stunning landscape of the local hills, foresty, sky and small villages. I climbed their high tree house to observe some better views. The advert for the place sold it to me with their bath overlooking the steep hillside over the valley.
We played cards with a lad from North London and a Frenchy before disposing of a spider like girls before bed. I'm not frightened of spiders, but on my travels, I've seen lots and I can't tell which ones have venom and which don't, even if I have watched a load on Nat Geo!
