Kicked out of bed by 11 as we said we were only staying one night but we changed our mind to keep Mike company!
We slobbed about for the day and booked a car between four of us (1 of the Kiwis), and ate cheap burewurs and chicken rolls for breakfast. Mike was monged and pretty much struggling for the day, and to be honest none of us were in a great state!
So because of that, the beach was perfect near Camps Bay, where the crazy waves actually pulled my pants off at one point (luckily I retrieved them before one of the others could knick them and leaving me short).
A quick drinks stop (would have been quicker if Jack hadn't gone walkies) and we ploughed on to Simon's Town to see the influx of penguins living amongst all the boulders! Is was real good fun and we got real close to them and most people were just sun-bathing next to them. A couple of them tried to nip us because we got a bit too close but it was good fun.
They are so funny how they walk, dive in the water, climb up really steep rocks and then start mating in front of everyone! Others were building nests too. Gutted for me my camera bust so I couldn't get many snaps.
We raced over to Cape Point but no luck as it was expensive and a bit late so we drove back to Sunset Point where the sky was incredible with all the reds, yellows and oranges. We pointed out the stranded ship that has been there since our last visit and then went back to town for food and an early night (after watching United lose to Chelsea).
