Toms Intrepid Travels
Wow, this place is just incredible. The photos are good, but pictures just can't do it justice. This is the first place that i really wished that somebody from home could have seen and experienced it with me. The scale of it is had to put on camera. 1600 islands/outcrops scattered over a massive area, and only one is inhabited. It felt like the Lost World. When i was sea kayaking between the islands, we went through an arch in one on the islands into this completely undisturbed cove, fully surrounded with the sheer cliffs of rocks and vegetation just rising up around us. I felt like i was in Jurassic Park, with all the bird noises, and the odd eagle just soaring over our heads, gliding between the islands. The sun was just setting over the cliffs aswell, making the sky a beautiful orange colour, and the warm sea turning a glorious emerald green. And to see it all from the surface of the water, in a small little kayak was just fantastic, i will never forget it. I was awestruck.
We toured the bay, and stayed the night on board our private boat, which was fully catered, and very lovely. We also wento to one of the biggest caves in the Bay that has formed in one of the islands. It was absolutely huge, and so well lit up in diffrent colours. Me and Bron still decided to have a good old laugh, and lauched ourselves off the roof of the boat into the sea from quite a height, while Rich caught the action on my camera!
Two days was just not enough for this magnificent world heritage site, and i can only wish that everybody see this once in their life!
