Due to the intense itinerary over the previous couple of days, next on the agenda was a stay in some "luxury tents." We were sceptical...
We had another 4 hours to the Bijaipur in a taxi. Hangover Fun. We were then met by off road 4x4's for another 45 minutes to the tents in the middle of nowhere. Being in India me and Stuart decided to make the most of the relaxed road culture by standing on the back of the jeeps whilst it drove through many small towns and over hills. This was amazing waving at locals like royalty passing through. Plus the views were incredible whilst we were driving.
On arrival we were all gob smacked by the accommodation. It literally was in the middle of nowhere overlooking a lake. The tents we all facing the lake. The really amazement was felt once inside the tents. They were huge and had en suite, air con and fully functioning toilets. So the rest of the day was spent either catching up on sleep, rehydrating the hungover body, or in my case throwing stones into the lake!
That night we had a buffet dinner and then sat around a fire to reflect on the trip so far. The stars were out, still fairly warm and it was sooo peaceful. Perfect way to finish the relaxation/revcovery day.
