The 5.30am start was offensively early. It had obviously meant our intelligence was hindered as we weren't prepared for the 25 minute drive on the open top jeep bus! Me and Emily managed to grab seats near the front which meant we had a wind block. The others had to suffer the cold wind in shorts and sunglasses!! Everyone on board were using bags as clothing. I can't explain how funny this was for me and Emily sitting in the wind free zone. So funny in fact we HAD to take a picture to capture this moment. It is obvious from the snap that there was a evident hatred towards us for doing this.
In short we didn't see a tiger... Unbelievably annoying. However we did see lots of other wildlife including colourful birds, dear of all shapes, many monkeys and the bird from the Iphone app "Angry Birds." Some will appreciate this more than others. This elusive bird was too hard to get a picture of disappointingly.
We arrived home thoroughly annoyed, only to hear we had a short time before we had a 4 hour journey to our next destination! The trip to Bundi was slightly more bearable thanks to a few aggressive games of cards. Friendships were tested. We arrived in Bundi and received another bindi. The hotel was amazing again. In fact it was the home of some Maharaja (a king). We were soon taken into the local town by an organised guide. He also joined the now extensive group of people who thought I was Indian, much to the amusement of the group! Bundi was really really nice surprisingly! Although this could have been helped by our immunity to the road sewage and constant smell of cow. We wernt being incessantly nagged though which was a relief.
After this tiring day we thought it was best to find a reason to celebrate and have a few drinks. In fact 3 bottles of rum between 7 ensued. I had to surrender early due to a having a uncontrollable serious condition called being a lightweight. Others followed, although some found themselves dancing with the tour guide in his underwear. The night was a great laugh!
