Tom and Becky Down Under!
An early start in search of Wilsons Promontory National Park.... Having finally found it following a slight, unintentional detour and a visit to another nice bakery, we heded to the our camp site at Tidal River, 30km south of the park entry point. The coastline along the way was beautiful, and the campsite, although geared for 500 camp spots, was really wooded and close to the beach. We headed down to Norman Beach for a swim.... the water was the cleanest and clearest we've seen yet. The beach was in a beautiful setting, a beautiful forested mountain on one side, a bare, badly eroded mountain face on the other and sand dunes at the back of us. Following a swim, we set up camp for the night before heading for a walk in the morning (12/12). We managed to complete the Lily Pilly walk in half the time recommended, despite getting lost half way through due to us doing the walk back to front. Following the walk, we headed towards Melbourne with the intention of going to Phillip Island, but had a slight change of plan, and are hopping on the ferry to tassie tonight, business class (only seats left.....dammit!!) Until next time, xxx
