hey y'all!! well, we gave up the fruit picking about 2 weeks ago and have made our way up the Western Australian coast and into the Northern Territory...we're currently in Darwin and will be here for the next couple of days!
We're going to update the website and send some emails tomorrow....

We've been picking oranges in Gingin (an hour north of perth) for 6 days now.... it's hard work, but everyone on the farm is so friendly! We've invested in a wind-up radio to keep us amused (having spent every hour of every day together for the last 3 months, we're running short of conversation!!) We've had to rescue one another a couple of times from falling ladders, and we've learnt how to comprise sentences solely using the 'F' word through numerous encounters with unstable ladders, inch long prickles and numerous bugs, primarily giant spiders and grasshoppers! We're out on the farm at 4.45am and finished by 1pm. The manager, John, has let us park up at night behind one of the barns on the farm where there's a fridge, shower and toilet....all we really need! The farm is only 2 or so km from the main little town where the main focus seems to be the Hotel. We're both enjoying the hard work which we never thought we would! Tom drives a massey ferguson and trailer around the farm whilst i ride along in the back when going to and from the packing shed (would make you proud dad!!) Though Tom lost all 4 of the crates the other day whilst trundling along without noticing!
We're picking up the bikes today which we're both rather excited about! Don't quite know how it's all going to fit in the camper during the day, but we'll work something out!
There's no signal up in Gingin, so phone calls will be made once a week from the phone box in town!!

Have updated most of the site....still have a few days to write up and still have to label all the pics so will be back tomorrow to do that!! The photos aren't and won't be in order, too time consuming and costly, but if you read the post cards, then once i've added the photo descriptions, you'll be able to put two and two together, love to all, xx

hey!! don't know if anyone is looking at our site, not that we've updated it much lately.... Well, just thought we'd let you know that we're back in mainland australia, in melbourne..... Our camper broke down on us just as we wanted to pull off of the ferry, how convenient!! Anyway, we're in melbourne for at least 5 days.... went to the zoo today, more on that later...
Will hopefully come across some cheap internet access tomorrow, so intend to spend all day writing back to some of the lovely long emails you've all been sending!!

Hey everyone, thank you for the messages!! We're just about to put some more postcards on site, photo's will follow in the near future, only it takes a while to upload them.... We're heading to tassie, business class this evening, will probably be there over christmas before coming back to Melbourne for a gander!!

Just a quick note to say thanks for all your email updates, I have been keeping up to date on then and I'm pleased to hear after all your hard work you are back on the road-yipee!! Sorry Nat and I never got to met you Tom, but hopefully when you both get back we can have a reunion. Where are you guys spending xmas? I haven't been up to much since returning home, however will be flipping some burgers over christmas for a mate who is going away, so at least I will have some of that cold hard cash, and hopefully fingers crossed I will going to see Roberto Williams next summer at Wembley, so so excited. That is providing the tickets on ebay aren't fakes!!
Anyway have fun roadtripping-I miss you so much Becks and can't wait to hang out when you get back.
