Tom and Becky Down Under!
Continuing on Thursday from the border village, we travelled along Australias longest straight road for 145km.....tom and i counted the dead kangeroos along a 1km stretch of it, a staggering 99 kangeroos had ended there lives along it!!
After over 1000km that day, we rocked up at Norseman were my weary eyes managed to blag us a free pitch in the few campsites around!
Friday (06/01) and onto Esperence where the beaches of the Cape Le Grand National Park challenged the quality of the other beaches we\'d come across!! We drove onto the softest white sand imaginable at Lucky Bay and attempted to go for a swim in the bluest, clearest water yet......but with the oncoming wind, it proved too chilly for me, but tom ducked his head under briefly so he could claim he swam there!
On our way out of the park, we passed frenchmans peak before heading to our rest area for the night at Munlinup.
Fitzgerald National Park was on the cards on Saturday, a relatively smooth 60km dirt track took us to four mile beach. The park was beautiful and we passed a number of large birds, even larger lizards and a number of skippys friends. Our photos can\'t even begin to show how stunning this park was. Unfortunately, there wasn\'t much, infact anything to do in the park, so we headed to Albany, then onto Pemberton, and in the rapidly deteriorating light, rocked up at Karridale where we camped in a carpark, classy we know!! Another long day rocking up a decent amount of mileage!!
Sunday (8/01) brought a cold wind along the coast which put us off swimming at Margaret River, though the current looked rather strong, so it\'s probably for the best!! We continued up the coast stopping off at the Bunbury dophin discovery centre for a quick wander round before finding our way to Perth relatively easily!!
A new week in a new city.... Monday saw us sitting in an internet cafe all day!! our asses fell asleep!! and we still hadn\'t finished what we had to do!! all for the love of you guys back home, so you better be bloody grateful!!
