Sorry for the long delay in updates - been too busy sunbathing! hahaha

Penang was an interesting mixture of sun and rain, good health and sickness, beaches and buildings! First 5 days we were in a place called Batu Ferringhi (North) where we spent most our days on the beach interspersed with rainy days when we worked out and played yahtzee! Lovely not overly touristy place, highlight for me was going a run on this route the hostel owner recommended - about an hour later i was still in the jungle and it was getting dark! Thought i was gunna have to spend the night out there! haha - but found a road and made it back in one extremely sweaty piece! Very cheap food courts, with the odd ladyboy here and there.

The other part of our Penang adventure was in Georgetown (The Capital) where we had so much planned of seeing temples and going out for drinks...but..i decided to contract mystery traveler illness and was throwing up all night and felt really bad the next day so missed everything apart from the odd pharmacy, and the sink in our room!!

Next on the trip was Langkawi, which pretty much is like paradise like everyone had remarked. Which was cool, mainly sunbathing apart from one rainy day watching dvd's and a day driving round the island seeing waterfalls and getting some good views in!

Crossed the border via the ferry to Satun, and straight on a bus up to Krabi. Took a bus into Ao Nang, where its the first touristy destination we have faced..fake diesel t-shirts and jeans everywhere, irish bars and hundreds of people on the beach! But it's still very nice and its been really hot the last two days as well - just to rub it in!

Off to Koh Samui tomorrow morning, where hopefully the weather will continue and they will have java on their internet connections so we can download all the photos we have taken over the last couple of weeks!
