Hey
After another 4hour plus bus journey (quite comfy actually) and a 45minute ferry ride we arrived on Pulau Pangkor. A quite remote island off the West coast of Malaysia. Had to take a pink taxi to the other side of the island to get to our hostel - Nazri Nipah Camp, a good stone's throw from the beach. declined a A-Hut for a Twin room (40MR - under 6 quid) with ensuite bathroom - see pics! Nice but we had to sort out the 20 plus mosquitoes that also lived there! :) Bring on the coil! After the other guests left the place was cooled with fan and a good place!
Spent some of our time there either sunbathing or eating. Though we did hire out mountain bikes to go round the island. Mine pretty mich broke down every 5 mins and resulted in me almost throwing it off this cliff after shouting a number of expletives! Sorry mum. Ended up being able to use 1 gear and because Pangkor is quite hilly, walking up most of the hills! Grrr. Lovely place though, stopped at this pier and saw some boys fishing who were like "come over here..see..see!" so they showed us these fish they had caught and took photos. The cycle ended up ok, and i was able to laugh about it afterwards (wouldve been that or cry!!)
Off to Penang, for about a week and then Langkawi...
