Hi all, So yeah....from Christchurch we made the windy (and windy) drive to the bottom of Mt.Cook. Very weird to see snow and mountains from a mainly beach dominated tour so far! Spent the night there in our luxury Toyota Corolla (!) bit chilly...woke up with frost on the windscreen and my entire wardrobe on! haha :) So at about 8am - all kitted up we began the climb..made our way to Sealey Tarns (alt. approx 1700m) pretty tough work up as u might or might not...

Again, another long time between blogs... So next up for our trip was a Super 14 Rugby game between Auckland Blues and Western Force, Force won 27-17 - not the best game of rugby ever but the seating was really close to the action so it was cool! There was also some amusing banter between some South African guys and 2 kiwis, something along the lines of "the sharks ate you guys for breakfast" (dont worry if you dont understand - sharks are the Super 14...

Next on the journey was Magnetic Island, we got there..just! Our Oz Experience bus broke down in the middle of nowhere (something to do with the gears). Passed the time with a bit of rugby and Crocodile Dundee DVD on the bus. After a couple of hours another bus came to our rescue and got us to Townsville and the ferry across to the island J Bit choppy on the way and got pretty wet, unluckily for us the umbrella was just out of hand for the first wave! Weather ...

Soooooooooo been a while again..woops! As there's been soo much thats happened that i have written down - off exploring readers will get the shortened version, anyone who wants it in more detail can be bored when i get back to UK or see them next (if not residing in UK!) 1. Hey all Australia is all good, though it has been a little bit of a shock to our pockets after SE Asia!! Its all in our budget, but still a surprise. Been in Sydney, in an area (red light district - :)) called King's Cross - cheap, and now we know why! haha then Bondi for 4 days satying with some mates from work who are out here..cheers Tim, Briar and Darren for having us! Did all the touristy stuff, with the aid of Becky and Steve (Becky whom i knew from uni)...
