Had lovely christmas day in Laos, now curled up in bed watching Kings Speech, not the Christmas movie i was hoping for but better than the bizarre Thai soaps which seem to be on ever other channel! After a bit if a disastrous morning of not being able to hire bikes we headed back to the hotel and enjoyed an afternoon by the pool with a bottle of red wine. Happy stuff your face day one and all! It doesn't feel particularly festive in Laos, buts it's lovely and warm and I found somewhere to get a Christmas dinner sandwich so all is good! We're now off to hire bikes to ride around on all day in search of appropriate quantities of food and alchofrolic beverages (I.e. lots if both). Today we were up at 6.30am to head to the airport to spend Christmas in Laos.
